1 perspective room project
for this project, i tried to illustrate my own room. i had some difficulty with my closet and the my desk because they are introverted, so i didnt know how to make it not look likeit was sticking out. my perspective was not great, but my shading improved from the shape one perspective project!
block print project
for the block print project, we carved out linoleum blocks and used a printing press to transfer the ink onto paper. for mine, i carved out a crab. i was unsatisfied with my project, because i have done this project before and i should have tried to challenge myself harder.
the other part of this project was the mono print. we painted on a piece of plexi-glass and then use the printing press to transfer the image. i printed a picture of an owl, then printed black dripping pain t over my first picture. the effect was dark,m and you can only see the owl partially. i was very satisfied with this project because i didnt really like the first print but i experimented and printed over it again and now it looks exactly how i wanted it to!

book page project
the book page project was to use select words on a page of a random book and illustrate what they mean to you. we did four, and on my first one, i used only black, gray and red. it was about hunting, and the red represented blood. i used salt with water color and i really liked the effect it made! the second one i made what about the sun and water, so for my illustration i flipped the picture and put the water on top and the sky on the bottom. it has very good balance, however my fish are very elementary. on the third, i only used balck and white and very few words. the contrast made this one my favorite, as well as using a special kind of brush for the feathers. the simplicity of the art really let the words be interpreted by the reader. the fourth and final book page was a face, because the text of the page was describing a person. it also alludes to a nature seem, which i represented in my picture as well.
diversity project
this was a free choice project, and i decided to use the prompt of an art competition going on at our school. the project asked for you to represent what diversity means to you in a painting, drawing, or multimedia project. i combined all three of these elements, causing a very chaotic display of color and ideas. if i were to re-do this project i would probably hold back a little more on the colors, however i think the overwhelming factor of this piece really expresses the messy beauty in everyone's differences!
shape 1 point perspective project
in this project, we were practicing one point perspective with geometric shapes and a vanishing point, and our shading as well! i think my 1 point perspective has gotten much better, however my shading could use a little work.
Skateboard project
for this project, we had to design the bottom of a skateboard, with a chance to be displayed in zask gallery! we were only supposed to use black, white, and 2 other colors of our choice. i chose to just use red to really make it pop. its a clown face, with the appearance that it's reverberating off the skateboard. i think i did really well with the contrast because the select few spots of color really stand out! :)
